Beginning with Mathew Grant in the mid 17th century, the Grant family and the Ebenezer Grant Mansion at 1653 Main Street have played important roles in South Windsor life.
This collection includes genealogical information about the Grant family, photographs, and nine business ledgers of Ebenezer Grant, Roswell Grant, and Thomas Mickell dated from about 1750 through about 1820. Also included in the collection is a manuscript entitled The Grant Mansion, written by Frances Judd, a descendant of the Grants.
