Catherine Hildred Sperry Raymond (1907-1992) grew up on Main Street in South Windsor, a descendant of U.S. Chief Justice Oliver Ellsworth and niece of William R. Wood, who built the Wood Memorial Library. Sperry Raymond attended Smith College and was an avid aviator.
This collection contains over 600 black and white photos of South Windsor people, places, and events. Many of these photographs document the houses and farms around Main Street, and their inhabitants.
