Online Programming is Here!

Visit our new Online Learning Marketplace on Podia.com!

Many organizations and small businesses have had to change their strategy and operations in response to the global pandemic.  Because we were unable to host field trips and other programs in Nowashe Village in 2020, we're bringing the learning and fun to you!  We've been hard at work developing online field trips and informational lectures, and a portion of it is available NOW!

Introduction to Native American Storytelling with Annawon Weeden

Many of the same educational videos about Native Americans that are available to schools are also available to the public.  They are offered a la carte and access may be purchased directly through the marketplace.

More Coming Soon!

You'll notice as you explore the options available that some are only in pre-launch status.  Not only are these coming soon, but others as well!  Be sure to check back and watch for updates.  We also plan on adding more content about Colonial America, local history, the environment, the arts, and much more!  Have a suggestion?  Tell us!

This Year We Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Friends!

We are turning 50!  In 2021 we are celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Friends of Wood Memorial Library & Museum (FWMLM) with special programming and exhibits that highlight a timeline of accomplishments and the growth of the organization over the past half-century.

Look for our first online exhibit of 2021 in March, celebrating Women's History Month in which we will spotlight Edith Vibert along with 17 other notable Friends who have contributed to and guided the development of the organization.
