Wapping Fair

Many of you have heard the sad news that after more than 130 years, the Wapping Fair is being discontinued. The South Windsor fair, which featured live music, demonstrations, livestock shows, food and rides, had been taking place since 1892. The South Windsor Jaycees had been organizing the fair since 2001, but as they will be closing their local chapter, they are no longer able to continue organizing the event. Updated February 9, 2024- A group called Friends of the Wapping Fair are rallying to try to save it.
