Ann Masi Garden Club Lecture: Doctrine of Signatures-Indigenous Superstitions Informed by Nature
With this program, we will explore some of the many ways we can gain information of a plants use by the “Doctrine of Signature” of plants. Many of the answers to these inquiries have been kept secret. Superstition made it dangerous to know how to ask the questions as well as knowing what to do with that information. Superstition has been an enemy as well as an informant. As an informant, “superstition” reveals certain symbols. These symbols are called signatures. They inform us of a plants use and also point towards a way to restore balance within the body. By attending this presentation, you will gain an idea of what questions to ask and perhaps the answers you receive will guide you in all your plant endeavors.
