Main Street Hidden History Tour

There are many ways to raise awareness of forgotten history.  In 2024 we exhibited research related to local slavery in a static and mainly passive way.  More recently we modified this information into a live presentation to engage people in conversation.  This May, join us to visualize where some of this history took place. 

Join us for a series of outdoor lectures at several locations on Main Street related to slavery in South Windsor, including approximately where Dr. Primus Manumit lived.  No currently standing homes or buildings will be featured.  Drive from location to location on your own.  Some walking on paved streets may be necessary.  Meet at Wood Memorial Library.
