Performance Lecture Series: Diana of Love

In summer 2022, Friends of Wood favorite, History at Play, LLC, debuts a new program twenty-five years after Princess Diana’s tragic passing, Diana of LOVE™.  This new, immersive, living history experience, follows the icon’s life behind the scrutinized pages of worldwide headlines, pulling back the curtain to reveal a woman who gave so much to so many, while concealing her own mental health struggles.

Researched, written, produced, and performed by artistic director, J. Kalaora, Diana of LOVE showcases Lady Diana Spencer as not only a nurturer, mother, humanitarian, philanthropist, activist, and LGBTQIA+ Ally (before anyone had the courage to publicly ally with HIV+/AIDS victims), it draws attention to how she also personified the pillars of: compassion, duty, hope, and beauty.

Despite all of her internal unrest, Diana was a force for LOVE: for the LGBTQIA+ Community.  Join with us to celebrate this international icon during pride month as History At Play™, LLC recalls her enduring impact on the LGBTQIA+ Community and beyond.
