Researching Local History and Primary Sources with Beverly Titus
Join Beverly Titus, as she discusses her experiences using primary source materials in researching local East Windsor history. Beverly is a volunteer at the East Windsor Historical Society who, for the past few years, has been working on a research project about the history of the Hartford County Temporary Home specifically the thirty-three children who were residents and are buried in the Springdale Cemetery. Read Beverly’s book Remembrances and her work of historical fiction the Minta Judd Story, and bring your questions!
If you would like to view the primary source materials used in her research, you can visit Museums on the Green, the home of the East Windsor Historical Society, during their open hours on Saturdays from 9am to 12pm. The book East Windsor, Through the Years by Michael C. DeVito used in her research is available for purchase there as well.
