In 1968, the citizens of South Windsor voted to construct a new Town Hall. The old Town Hall located on South Main Street was not centrally located and was inadequate in size to accommodate the expanding Town needs. The building houses the Town offices council chambers and the East Windsor Probate Court. The new hall, modern and functional in design, is located in Wapping center, between Ellington Road and Sullivan Avenue. The Town Hall was dedicated in 1969.
